You Are Beautiful, No Matter What They Say

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Remember when your parents told you that this is what you say to someone that had something negative to say about you. They didn't want you to fight, but they did want you to pretend like the hurtful things that people can say really didn't hurt your feelings. We all want to think that we are stronger than words, but words are powerful. When some person says to you that you are not as good as I want you to be, or why don't you do this and then I will do this,,,it leaves a lasting impression. The perception that you once had of that person is now forever changed. You can't hold them at the highest standard because they hurt you. You thought that the way you were was the best that you could be. But where there is smoke, there is usually fire. Perhaps what they speak of holds some merit. But the way that they speak it, is what causes the damage. It never hurts to listen to the criticisms of others. It never hurts to make improvements to better yourself, but it does hurt when you are asked to change. Change your appearance, or change your personality. It never hurts to be better than you were the day before, but it does hurt when you can no longer recognize yourself in the mirror because you are trying to become what makes someone else happy. What makes you happy?

I want the best that life has to offer,,,and I won't settle for less. You may not be where you thought you would be,,but that doesn't mean that you cant get there. I have learned through the years that life is a mission. A mission impossible,,,,no, but challenging nonetheless. I am under the influence of society to be the person I dream to be. I hope that God hears me when I say that I am worthy of his blessings and I believe that his purpose for me will be fulfilled as long as he leads the way to improvement. Regardless of your hardships, life is meant to be lived. The good is joyous and full of entertainment,, the bad is life changing and reminiscent of the worst experiences that life has to offer. But even in the darkest moment,,, there is light. I smile when I hear a song that brings about a fond memory,,,I cry when I hear a song that makes me remember a love lost. But my life goes on. I grow and I evolve. Evolution is change. And change is good. Maybe not what you think you need , but what you need at the time when you need it. I speak of lifestyle changes in almost every blog that I write. I only speak what I feel, because I am not an alien. I am a human being,,,which compared to other planets may seem just that. But I am here and loving learning about what makes us tick. I enjoy understanding emotion and discovering where my life should be. I believe that I am so much more than I am. I know that someday my message will reach the masses. I know that what I have to say will touch someones heart and save the dying from death. Literally that could be exactly what it says or it could just mean that I save a soul from destruction. You do not have to crawl in a hole and hide yourself from what people don't understand. You are free to be who you are. You can be eclectic and quirky,,,you can be mainstream and follow the crowd. Regardless,, you are who you and you are great. We are powerful and our minds are unfiltered. Say what you want to say,, be who you are and live your life the way no one else can. Its all on you.
